Flight 370

It has been almost a month since Malaysian Flight 370 disappeared with almost 240 people onboard and the search is still continuing for it. This is tragedy, no doubt, but it does make me wonder just how far the world is willing to go to find this missing plane. I want to believe that the passengers found a way to survive, but with recent pings from the planes black box showing up deep underwater in the Indian Ocean, its hard to stay positive.
My point here is that despite how positive we want to be, there eventually has to be a point where we say enough is enough. If the trend with the black box pings continues, if there is any wreckage to be found, it will be so deep that we can't even initiate any kind of rescue or salvage operations. The world may have to accept that those people are gone and then we can let them rest in peace, even if they didn't die peacefully.

Everyone may call me an insensitive jerk or callous for not believing that the passengers may yet still be alive, but the longer that they remain missing, the more unlikely it is that they are still alive. Like I said before, I want to believe that they may still be out there waiting for us to find them but we eventually have to face facts and move on. We can't move on if we are constantly trying to reclaim what was lost to us. That is not how the human brain works.

  1. I think it is intresting that there are many countries helping with this search, but instead of coming together for the best possible search results they are, treating it almost like a competition of who will find something first. How is it possible with all the technology we have in the world that there is no definite trace of any kind of evidence. They thought they found debris early on in the search just ended up being ocean garbage. Investigators also claim to have many satellite images of possible debris, yet nothing was found. I uderstand they are searching the ocean and I didnt expect the investigaton to be simple but I feel as though something is not right that there is no complete confirmed solid evidence of the plane.

  2. I think that this is a very interesting headline to follow as well. However I do think that they will, and should keep looking for the wreckage of this ship. A tragedy like this will really hurt many of the vicitms family, and not knowing what actually happened could keep the pain going for some families. I agree with you that we need to try to move on, but I think that we should also look for what the victims famlilies may want too. It does also seem very strange that we have no trace of the plane in this age.

  3. The flight 370 has been a mystery to the world now for months and the media always has so much to talk about but most at times most of them give their own points of views and opinions which does not really explain to us what is happening. But knowing that this flight i really missing i try to put myself in the position of the family members and in their grieve because we never know the pains we face when we loose our loved ones. We live in the world that no one knows what can happen in the future, so to those families i send my regards and continue to praise God.
