Popular culture is the ideas, perspectives, attitudes, and
etc., which are within the mainstream of a culture. Popular culture is heavily
influenced by mass media, generation’s, technology, music, etc., which affects
everyday life of society.
A popular form of pop culture is music and one that is
coming up the fastest right now or becoming more popular each day is EDM, also
known as Electronic Dance Music. Some of you may be familiar with what I am
talking about and may enjoy this topic and/or music; others may have no idea what I am talking about or hate EDM.
Its alright, I’m not going to judge you but I may catch your attention a little
bit.
EDM is becoming huge in the Twin Cities; artists are there almost every weekend, ranging from most popular names to small familiar names. Examples of a few past
artists that have came to the Twin Cites are Steve Aoki, Zomboy, Flux Pavilion, Calvin Harris, Borgore, Dillon Francis, Rusko, etc, and a few that will be coming to the twin cites are Carnage,
Boombox Cartel, Infected Mushroom, and Hardwell. These artists come to the
cities to put on a show and when you go to their show they don’t just play music,
they also have crazy visuals and lights. Most artists that come to the cities
do not have their own visual production so the venue that booked the artist
will hire us, Antic Studios. If you have gone to any of the above artists I
just listed, you have seen what Antic Studio does. The visuals, the lights, the
production, etc, that is all us, Antic Studios.
Antic Studios is a collaboration of thinkers, performers,
artists, and motion graphic designers striving to create a new dimension in
live audio-visual entertainment. Our Mission
